‘Own a few shopping centres,’ he replied jokingly.

Of course, earning money is not the ultimate goal for our lives. It is more of a measurement of mastery in our profession. We won’t use all of the money we earn, and we can donate it to make the changes we want to see.

Just as he implies, commercial property and development are the most difficult games in property investment. It is such a niche market – it is not small, but is less for individual mum and dad investors and more for professional property investors, people who work-full time in the property market or are running development as a business.

I am proud to serve a few famous commercial property developers and active commercial property investors. I would also like to give credit to those who invite me to look after the debt structure and transactions for them.

So, what is commercial property? I would say anything that is not residential property or related to multi-dwelling construction can be classified as such. ‘Commercial’ is like a business, that is the whole point. You do not have to be a multi-billionaire to start to invest in commercial property. You only need to be a normal property investor to start from a low-price, entry level one.
